League Jamboree 2 – October 3, 2023
Sometimes in running, it’s not just about achieving personal records (PR). Rather, it’s about the way you run the race. This was one of those days on the course. The Renton girls’ team did exceptionally well, finishing 3rd out of 6 teams, which is an improvement from their last Jamboree where they placed 5th. The girls all finished very close to each other, which helped increase their team’s overall standing. Zoey Cheney (14:43) was the first runner for Renton and placed 8th overall out of 49 runners. Alice Williams (16:05) closely followed in 16th place, Jennalyn Bronstein (16:25) in 17th, Isa Vargo (16:43) in 19th, Stella Mac (17:04) in 22nd, Layna Shirey (17:41) in 25th, Riley Szawara (18:14) in 31st, Ryan Cheney (18:28) in 33rd, Aubrey Turk (20:16) in 41st, Elizabeth Hebert-Foe (20:56) in 44th, Isabel Kridner (21:19) in 45th, and Lenah Hysko (1mi-17:57). Congratulations, ladies, on a great race!
The Renton boys’ team also did well, considering they were down a few runners. They placed 3rd out of 6 teams. Wyatt Sesnie (13:52) was the first runner for the boys’ team and placed 10th overall out of 76 runners. Following him were Alex Stolkey (14:38) in 18th place, Max Banas (15:02) in 22nd, Henry Broughton (15:20) in 28th, Liam Holdwick (15:26) in 30th, Oliver Sherz (15:50) in 33rd, Mason Kidd (16:01) in 38th, Jackson Dodson (16:19) in 39th, John Lapointe (17:09) in 43rd, Cael Dodson (17:19) in 44th, Griffin Bozich (18:08) in 50th, Brady Allen (18:14) in 51st, Ryan Clelland (18:49) in 55th, Ryan Stolkey (19:00) in 58th, Carter Crane (19:10) in 61st, and Liam Hysko (1mi-13:38).
